DAO Ace Stream (https://download.acestream.media/linux/acestream_3.1.74_ubuntu_18.04_x86_64_py3.7.tar.gz)
sudo dnf toolbox
toolbox create --release 33
toolbox enter --release 33
acestream-launcher acestream://a203f6b935a8ad8659c4c76c1d9c13afa6368ef2 -p mpv
Buenas,
Estaría alguna versión disponible para Python 3.9 o 3.10 o 3.11?
Saludos.
Is it possible the developers can bump the Python 3 libraries version to something more up-to-date?
I couldn’t package the Acestream tar for NixOS and it was a nightmare to try it. Python 3.8 is quite old and not to say to older versions…
I am assuming the engine code is proprietary? Because I wasn’t able to find it anywhere.
Thanks a lot for reading me. Hoping I can use Acestream from my native machine and not through a virtual machine…
Python 3.11, 3.12, 3.13?
Dear Developers,
Isn’t it time to migrate the engine to modern Python versions, such as 3.11, 3.12, or later? I realize you have confined yourselves to Windows and Snapcraft, but please keep in mind that not all users utilize these platforms.
We are already in 2026, but your engines are still locked into Ubuntu 22 and Debian 9/10, running Python 2.7, 3.7, 3.8, and 3.10. These versions are either dead or rapidly approaching their end of life.
Thanks in advance!
3.14

It’s “bleeding edge”. See Acestream disconnects every 12-15 minutes - #56 от пользователя Benny
My guess is developers don’t know how their application should be packaged in modern Python for Linux.
Yep. Lost knowledge - ancestors did not leave any notes about this sacral process.
