Forwarding port 8621: it helps to got more broadcaster?

Hi all,
we know that acestream is based on bittorrent protocol.
On bittorrent, forwarding a port is very important if you wanna download files from peers with closed port (thanks to the protocol that allow remote peer to open a connection with you)
This helps a lot in terms of “seeder” and download speed of course.

i’m asking if same behavoir is relevant for acestream.
When i open port i see a lot of peers increasing, but i’m not sure if all of these, or only a part of, are fetching data from me.
Basically, i’m asking if forwarding port 8621 helps Me to got more peers to fetch streams; i’m pretty sure that i’m helping others and this is good for me.

“Forwarding port 8621” helps others to get more peers, and helps you in regards of “fair trading” - bit-torrent protocol have a leech protection mechanics and prefer sending more data to clients which send some data back, not only consume it - BitTorrent - Wikipedia

If i understand correctly, opening port 8621 it helps me only in terms of speed but not in terms of getting more broadcaster, right?
