Important! Changes in the operation of older Ace Stream versions

:bell: Important! Changes in the operation of older Ace Stream versions

In older Ace Stream apps for Android (including Ace Stream LiveTV, Ace Stream Media, Ace Stream Engine, and other early releases), P2P live stream playback is now available only to users with an active Premium subscription.

This update is part of the transition to a new operating model and is aimed at improving the stability and efficiency of the decentralized Ace Stream network.

We strongly recommend updating to the current release version, as earlier Android builds contained UPnP-related bugs that negatively affected stability of streams and the proper functioning of the P2P network.

In simple terms — older versions could not properly participate in stream distribution (seeding), which is unacceptable for a P2P client.

:light_bulb: Recommendations

If you’ve been using older versions and watched streams through Ace Player, —
we strongly recommend switching to the latest version. It remains completely free, as long as you’re fine with watching short ads (no Premium subscription required).

If you’ve used older versions to play streams in external players, —
we also recommend updating. Playing streams through third-party applications is a paid feature in both old and new versions, but in the latest builds many bugs have been fixed and new functional capabilities have been added.

If you’re using Ace Stream LiveTV and you’re happy with it, —
simply get Premium and continue enjoying your favorite app.

:speech_balloon: Note: If Ace Stream LiveTV gathers enough Premium users, we will resume its support and release updates for it.

Finally, for all Android TV and Google TV users, we recommend trying EMET Surf — your potential universal multimedia hub. Right now, it’s completely free and ad-free.
