Protect HLS video stream behind access token

Browsing the HTTP API docs there are mentions of an access token, but that doesn’t seem to apply to video streams.

I need to expose my acestream engine to the internet, but would like to avoid unauthorized users from both starting the p2p connections on my host, and accessing the resulting HLS video stream. Is that possible currently?

My usecase is simply

<hostname>:6878/ace/manifest.m3u8?id=<id>

No. You should “hide” Ace Stream engine behind proxy - reverse proxy as nginx/traefik or HTTP proxy: GitHub - pepsik-kiev/HTTPAceProxy: New or https://www.hls-proxy.com and use access control features in those apps.
